On October 3rd, Center for Creative Land Recycling provided a half-day course focusing on redeveloping environmentally challenged property, with a special focus on transit-oriented development and infill in the Puget Sound region.
The workshop taught attendees how how to navigate the assessment, remediation and redevelopment of distressed properties and how to leverage federal, state and local resources to bring jobs and redevelopment into your community. The course covered the regulatory and legal framework, the environmental cleanup process, and funding sources for remediation and reuse projects. The workshop brought together many organizations, both public and private. Check out the workshop agenda HERE.
