CCLR’s Happy Hour is always a hit. This year, we’re pleased to bring our Brownfields Sing-Along to a national stage, hosted by CCLR’s Director of Programs, Ignacio Dayrit. Ignacio has taken popular songs you know and love and changed the lyrics to focus on brownfields. Below are a few examples of his handiwork. A playbook of lyrics will be available.

Come for the networking, stay for the music and make your enthusiasm for brownfield redevelopment heard! CCLR’s Brownfields Sing-Along premiered at last year’s California Land Recycling Conference -- experience the excitement for yourself.

“Brownfields California” (Ignacio’s take on “Hotel California”, by the Eagles)

Welcome to the Brownfields California

Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)

Land recycling space.

Plenty to do at the Brownfields California

It’s that time of year, get your answers here...

“Brownfields U.S.A.” (an homage to the Beach Boys’ “Surfin’ U.S.A.”)

If everybody had a brownfield

Across the U.S.A.

Ev'rybody'd be redevelopin'

Like Californi-a

You'd see 'em wearing their moon suits

Construction hard hats, too

A messy, messy hat hairdo

Brownfields U.S.A.

“The CERCLA of Life” (with thanks to Elton John’s “Circle of Life” from Disney’s “The Lion King”)

It's the CERCLA of life

And it rules us all

Through despair and hope

Through faith and luck

Till we find a way

Through the path unwinding

With the RCRA

and TSCA of life

Special thanks to our generous sponsors, Langan and C&S Companies for their support! There is still time to join distinguished companies supporting CCLR’s mission and educational programming.
