Grant Webinar Held by U.S. EPA Region 9: "Brownfield Redevelopment Planning: Utilizing New & Existing EPA Grant Resources"
Local governments, federally recognized tribal governments and nonprofits are invited to learn about EPA’s upcoming grant solicitation for the Brownfields Area Wide Planning grant, which will be posted in Spring 2016. This program focuses on helping communities – at the neighborhood level - advance their goals for brownfields redevelopment by supporting community involvement, analyzing infrastructure and market demand, and identifying implementation strategies. Additionally, learn how EPA’s Brownfield Assessment grants offered annually in the Fall can be used for brownfields area wide planning at a larger geographic scale. Hear from EPA staff, as well as EPA-funded grantees, on how they have utilized these resources to effectively plan for brownfields redevelopment. No RSVP necessary. Information presented in this webinar will be applicable to both communities interested in applying for Brownfield Area-Wide Planning Grants and communities that have been awarded – or are interested inapplying for – Brownfield Assessment funding.
