The FY2014 HUD Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grants Notice of Funds Availability was issued on November 6, 2014 and announced approximately $76 million available for awards. Eligible applicants are public housing authorities, local governments, nonprofits, tribal entities and for-profit developers. Applications must present a plan to revitalize a severely distressed public and/or HUD-assisted multifamily housing project located in a distressed neighborhood into a viable, mixed-income community. The Choice Neighborhoods Implementation grant includes 2 bonus points for applicants working with entities designated as having Preferred Sustainability Status. Individual grant awards may be for up to a maximum of $30,000,000.
