Communications and Development Internship

The Center for Creative Land Recycling has an exciting internship opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student proficient in social media/communication and committed to sustainability and non-profit development. CCLR is at the forefront of sustainable and equitable brownfield redevelopment. As the U.S. EPA’s Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) provider, CCLR provides unparalleled support to local governments and non-profit development organizations in 18 states to convert abandoned, contaminated tracts of land into community assets. The process of redeveloping brownfields creates jobs, housing, businesses and/or green spaces and lays the groundwork for a resilient and vibrant community.

You will be responsible for assisting CCLR to develop and implement our communications and outreach plan with the goals of increasing CCLR’s national visibility while tailoring outreach on multiple platforms to diverse stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a small (4 person) office while gaining insight into non-profit development. You will hone your technical writing skills, while also drafting creative narratives, sharing timely and relevant information with our community about our partners, their projects, and the intersection of various environmental issues including: brownfield redevelopment and remediation, housing policy, land use, parks and greenspace development, in the regions CCLR works.
