Summit participants will have the opportunity to:

  • • Hear the latest developments surrounding federal funding opportunities
  • • Participate in Roundtable discussions with the EPA, HUD, Department of Transportation, Economic Development Administration, and Department of Agriculture
  • • Network with top redevelopment leaders from around the country and across the economy

Day 1 (September 25th): Join us in the nation’s capital for two days of with key federal agency personnel, including roundtable discussions and a keynote with EPA Steve Cook, Deputy AA for the Office of Land and Emergency Management.   

 

Day 2 (September 26th): Extend your impact and join us for an educational briefing for Capitol Hill staff, where we will share stories of transformation from the field, and help staff understand the impact that federal programs are making on brownfields in communities around the country.  The briefing will be followed by individual meetings with members of Congress.

 

A note for EPA grantees planning to attend the Summit: Because federal funds cannot support advocacy, EPA grantees who attend Day 2 of this event must ensure that no federal grant funds support the portion of their travel that relates to advocacy. Additional costs attributed to participating in Day 2 may not be supported with EPA grant funds.  If you have other questions, please ask your EPA grant manager.
