The Case of Two Coasts: Addressing Redevelopment Challenges in Rome, NY and Oregon City, OR

This webinar is nearly two years in the making. In 2020, CCLR partnered with the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), an international consortium of credentialed real estate problem solvers who provide expert advice on complex real property and land-related matters, to bring their expertise to two communities selected through a national competitive application process.

The goal was to match local communities seeking support to redevelop catalytic brownfield properties with the talent of the Consulting Corps. Volunteer teams from CRE’s Consulting Corps. spent a week in Rome, New York in October 2021 and with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde in Oregon in January and February 2022. Join us to meet representatives from both the host communities and the Consulting Corps to hear about the process, outcomes and ways redevelopment challenges can be framed to garner support from stakeholders and experts, address obstacles and have a defined path forward.
