ATCEM is hosted by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium’s Community Environment and Health. They partner closely with ANTHC’s Climate Initiatives team, along with representatives from nonprofits, communities, industry, and all levels of government to develop the conference session content. It’s four days of plenaries, breakout sessions, and networking with exhibitors.

The event is a vital networking space for Tribal environmental professionals from across the state to learn from one another, connect with support organizations and agencies, and discover resources to help assist in efforts to improve local environmental health.

CCLR will present four sessions at ATCEM:

  • Data Sovereignty in Alaska Brownfields Work – Tuesday, March 24 2:30-3:00 PM
  • Follow the Money: A Field Guide to Funding Pathways for Brownfields Revitalization – Wednesday, March 25 2:30-3:30 PM
  • Brownfields for Disaster Resilience – Thursday, March 26 3:15-4:15 PM
  • Vision to Action: Turning Community Vision into Redevelopment Reality – Friday, March 27 11:15 AM-12:15 PM

Speakers

Emily Good

As the Region 10 Program Manager, Emily works to enhance CCLR’s program and execution of services in Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Alaska and build strong collaborative relationships between tribal entities in both Regions 9 and 10.

Prior to joining CCLR Emily worked as the Idaho State Lead Environmental Justice Specialist for EPA in Region 10. In collaboration with passionate community members, local and state organizations Emily managed 17.5 million dollars in EPA funding as a Project Officer and oversaw the life cycle of grant projects through conception to final reporting.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, yoga, baking and all things exploring the natural world around us. She resides in Boise, Idaho.

Joy Britt

Joy Britt is a Senior Consultant at CCLR and the owner of Atlas 360 Consulting, where she specializes in providing technical assistance for federal grants, grant writing, and program management strategy and support. Joy is intentional about fostering and maintaining relationships, leveraging her ability to connect people to build partnerships that strengthen coalitions. Passionate about serving marginalized communities and Indigenous peoples, she thrives on tackling challenges with innovative, community-driven solutions. Though an islander at heart, Joy now lives and works in Dena’ina Ełnena (Anchorage, Alaska) and serves as the Alaska representative on two national Tribal Partnership Groups. She is enthusiastic about finding synergies and contributing to solution-driven action in her home region of the Pacific.
